Description: the perystile court of the classical pompeion (iv century b.c.)in the kerameikos with the superimposed storehouse (ii c.a.d.) the pompeion was a spacious building with a peristyle courtyard. in the court was housed the panathenaic ship, and in the dining rooms the notables may have celebrated the feast in honour of athena. later was built here the festival gate, with two columnades (iv-v c. a.d.)
